If you want to change your contact information, click the Update Member menu entry under the Membership menu above, which will take you to this page, where you type in some info to identify yourself and then you can edit your contact info.
There is a whole bunch of more information contained in those other menu entries.
That password thingy on the left is meant for people who want to write article for this site, but no one ever wants to, so I’ll be taking it away some day when I have the time to do a site revamp. Until then, We Don’t Use Passwords Here.
A bunch of times through the year, we get queries from people wondering why their points aren’t showing up. Here is THE most common reason:
For points to count, the RIDER, HORSE OWNER, and TRAINER must all be GSDHJA members, at the time of the show.
The horse owner is the owner you specified when you entered the show. Likewise for trainer. And rider is your name (same spelling please as your membership entry).
It is easy to see if any of these three are members. Just go to here and search for these names (use your browser search function if you don’t know the trainer name these members might be under). Remember that trainers names in RED are not yet members.
This is it! After a fun filled year of competitions, it all comes together at our annual awards banquet. See if you can recognize your trainer in spiffy clothes! Get a horse themed characture drawn! Participate in the raffle! And of course: Awards! Receive and congratulate your fellow riders on their awards. Great food, good friends and good times are had by all.
The banquet will be held Saturday January 17, 2015 at the Bahia Hotel starting at 5:00pm. Cost is $60.00 per person for dinner. If you cannot attend the banquet, you can request your award(s) be mailed to you for a fee.

The 2015 schedule is (more or less) complete and posted on this page, which will be continually updated.
The Championship Show date has been set for September 28 through October 4, 2015, to be held again at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. It has been moved up an entire month due to conflicts with the new second race season at the Del Mar Fairgrounds race track. The good news is that we won’t have to worry about rain. The bad news is that there are fewer shows at the end of the show year to attend. Show managers have responded by front loading their shows earlier into the season. We’ve already had one 2015 show, the SCHC Harvest Festival, and there are three more scheduled in December in the coming weeks.
Don’t forget that TODAY (Tuesday Sep 30) is the deadline to submit your entries for the Champ Show and still receive the $25 discount on your nomination fee! TODAY is also the absolute deadline for “snail mail” entries and deposit checks – otherwise they will not get to Claudia by Thursday, which will be her last chance to pick up mail. You may enter online after today, but please bring your open check to the show office when you check in – do not mail it.
